Many people have laptops, and when they charge it they don’t give it a second thought. Well if you have ever wondered what the small cylinder part in your laptop charger is, we have the answer.
The laptop is a complex device with many moving parts inside it that work together to make your laptop work better.

The little cylinder part on the laptop charger is called a ferrite bead. It is very important in keeping your computer running effectively.

All the tiny moving parts like the motherboard, hard drive and other parts spin and vibrate with the capability of producing radio frequencies. The case around the laptop dulls those vibrations and stops them from causing any interference

Your phone does not have the moving parts so it doesn’t create those frequencies. The cables attached to your laptop act as antennae. They can both broadcast your laptop’s vibrations as radio frequencies and pick up signals which creates interference. So the ferrite bead prevents interference between your electronic devices.
