This Little Girl Died Nearly 100 Years Ago And She Still Opens Her Eyes In The Mornings

Meet Rosalia Lombardo. She died in 1920 and is now known as ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Despite her beauty, she is known to be a very spooky mummy as she has been seen to open and close her eyes.


Rosalia is the most famous among some 8,000 mummies lining the catacombs beneath the Capuchin convent in Palermo, Sicily. Poking above a blanket, her peaceful face is framed by curly blond hair, while a ribbon is still tied around her head.
