The Doctors Found No Baby After Emergency C-section

   Amber Hughes, a mother of four living in Leicester, was left horrified after claiming she was given an emergency C-section just moments after her baby was born naturally.




Amber said that the medics were stunned and confused when they cut her open and found no baby inside. Only about two minutes later, they heard a baby crying and realized that Amber had actually delivered her newborn son naturally while they were performing the C-section.

“It was horrific. I was expecting my bundle of joy to be passed to me, but instead I watched panic spread over doctors’ faces,” Amber said.

The emergency C-section was needed, because Amber had been in labor for 36 hours, was 3cms dilated, and her baby had an infection. The doctors feared that she was not going to give birth naturally, so they rushed her in to perform the cesarean section. Little did they know, during the exact same moment, baby Olly had started his decent in the birth canal.

Olly was found under the sheet in between Amber’s legs minutes after initial panic once he started crying. He weighed only 3lbs 6oz, so he was taken to the antenatal unity before the shaken up couple had the chance to hold him an hour later. Amber was happy her son was ok, although she was horrified from the experience and is upset that she now has a scar from a C-section that wasn’t necessary.

Five weeks later, Amber and Olly were released from the hospital. Amber is currently trying to get answers from the hospital in regards to what happened. 

Amber said, ‘I’m thankful my baby is okay, but we’ll never be able to forget the day the doctors lost our baby.’
